Hockey in Dubai?

I'm sure this is a stretch and a longshot, but is there any form of hockey in Dubai? I doubt there's ice hockey because of the extreme heat, but maybe there are roller hockey rinks? I've been playing hockey since I was eight years old and I just can't imagine living somewhere where I couldn't play at all! Maybe I could come build a rink there!

You are right, that is quite a stretch. I don't know as I've never seen it or heard about it there, but I am pretty sure that there are place in Dubai where you can even play ice hockey, of course it would be indoor simulated ice but nonetheless you could play on it. The reason I believe this is because I heard about skiing in Dubai so hockey is quite possible.

If skying you are talking about is it ice skying water skying or is it sand skying, Ha Ha!!.Well it must be water or sand one.you can manage ice skating rink or at the most ice hockey stadium also but I can't imagine the ice skying there in Dubai.

You can go to Abu Dhabi to enjoy ice hockey.

The Abu Dhabi Falcons meet on weekday evenings at the Abu Dhabi ice rink and are more than happy for you to join in or cheer them in.

i think there is no ice hockey in Dubai.

Dubai is like a desert and i don't think they have some place in the mall for ice hockey.

About 2 months ago I played in a (field) hockey tournament but on the ice rink (there was a carpet but no padding) next to al nasr leisureland near the american hospital in Dubai. There is apparently an ice hockey team that plays there regularly. In terms of field hockey, there is a league due to start this November in Dubai I think and quite a few local teams. I play occasionally with the Abu Dhabi Hockey Club (search for abu-dhabi-hockey-club under google groups) who as far as I know are the only (field) hockey club in Abu Dhabi. There are also the Abu Dhabi Falcons ice hockey team.
