Sports & leisure in UAE

What do you guys normally do in terms of sports, apart from going to the gyms?
Is there any Futsal (Indoor soccer) clubs or cycling clubs or cricket clubs in UAE?
I do not mean professional clubs but amateur clubs (Bunch of school friends playing together or an amateur tournaments)

..or any other sports apart from the above..

i'm new here and want to join a football club of sorts, not fussed if its 5, 6, 7, or 100 a side...just want a good kickaround some evenings. If anyones interested, email me at jav99@hotmail.com and we'll organise something.

Well speaking for myself i've only been here for a couple of weeks so not had the opportunity to delve deeper into sports activities in dubai, but do play footy with work colleagues on a tuesday night. Am looking for something a bit more competitive though. Any advice?

Have you ever thought of Brazilian wrestling! It's a great sport, very technical!
There is a great traditional Brazillian wrestling club in the centre of Dubai, very relaxed group of trainers.

Just a thought great fitness!

Brazilian wrestling or brazilian ju-jitsu aka gracie style? It certainly sounds interesting, whereabouts in dubai is it?

there is literally everything in dubai in terms of sports. sports city should be all inclusive, but i believe it has been postponed. anyone know the new date of completion?

soccer is a really tiring sport..do u knoe it spends the same amount of energy as dancing

bt der a sum otha contents like sugar, fats wich i wanna aviod....

dats y i actually have flavored water during my game ...because it doesnt have calories in it and give me a gud taste as well ...so u can avoid ur "CONTENTS" as well n u wont b be feeling dehydrated...
