Finding an apartment here is a headache thing :<. Out from Dubai only for 9mths but the rental already shot up so high! Really feel pengsan while they mentioned about the price.....Dear friends who is coming to Dubai, housing is the most important issue to consider & discuss, ya~

hi mmcc,
dubai is almost similar like KL eventhough it's arab country but it's quite liberal here. we can wear our KL clothes here except for few places where there's no revealing cloth alllowed (whc is very few anyway). i do not hv any kids so not able to advise on children education. but what i heard it's very expensive. as for basic necessity, certain things are very expensive but certain things are quite cheap here. but since malaysian currency is getting stronger, if we earn in ringgit then everythings seems rather cheap

i've been in dubai since november. just back from KL ths week. do i like it ?? certain things yes but i surely do miss KL. it's a very safe city and if u r into shopping, the services are excellent. and 1 thing that i really like, there's a home delivery for everything including groceries. so for a lazy bum like me, this is superb. so far i never kena custom check (anyway i only been in and out of dubai for 5 x). this time balik, i did bring few pirated dvds/cds but of course i put it in my check-in luggage bag. it's good if u bring books and mag as novels are extremly expensive here. like in MPH, the price is RM38 and in dubai the price is Dhs 55.-70 as for mag, if local mag(in english) it's quite cheap, but if its int mag like vogue, elle it's almost double the price in Msia.
